We do not receive or store your passwords from these services.

3. AI Processing and Data Usage

AI Transparency: Your recipe data is processed by artificial intelligence systems to generate ingredient substitutions. Here's what you should know:

Recipe text and ingredients are sent to AI services for processing
AI processing occurs on secure third-party servers (currently Anthropic/Claude)
We do not use your specific recipes to train AI models
AI providers may retain data temporarily for service operation and abuse prevention
Nutritional estimates are AI-generated and may not be precise

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Cloud/Firebase, primarily located in the United States. By using Wellyum, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States.

5.2 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
Secure authentication protocols
Regular security audits and updates
Access controls limiting employee access to personal data
Secure password hashing (passwords are never stored in plain text)

5.3 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion:

Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days
Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely

When you import recipes from external websites, you may access third-party content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our mobile app does not use traditional browser cookies. However, we may use:

Local storage for app preferences and offline functionality
Device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting
Authentication tokens for secure login sessions

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Posting the updated policy in the App
Updating the "Last Updated" date
Sending email notification for significant changes

Continued use of Wellyum after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Do Not Track Signals

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry standard for mobile apps. However, you can control data collection through your device settings.

13.1 Advertising Tracking

We use Meta's (Facebook) SDK for advertising measurement and app install attribution. On iOS, you will be prompted via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before any advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected. You can change your tracking preference at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

If you grant tracking permission, device identifiers and app events (such as installs, opens, and conversions) may be shared with Meta for ad measurement purposes.
